K-9 Handler: Patrolman Ray Buhala

     On February 12, 2009 the Liberty Township Police Department purchased our newest officer, Capo.  Capo and his new handler Ptl. Ray Buhala will be attending training beginning approximately April 1, 2009 and lasting 6 weeks, after which they will begin functioning as our K-9 unit.  They will be a much needed addition to the police department and will function primarily in seeking out narcotics crimes.  Capo will also be utilized in tracking perpetrators as well as missing persons.
